Get a Mortgage in Principle

A Mortgage in Principle, also known as an Agreement in Principle or Decision in Principle, is a certificate showing how much a lender might offer you based on your financial situation. The Financial Conduct Authority sets out the rules lenders must follow when assessing you, so the figure you receive will be based on proper affordability criteria.

It’s not a full mortgage offer, but it shows sellers and estate agents that you’re a serious buyer and can help speed up the process.
